1. Genesis of the KV : - Kendriya vidyalaya jamalpur was set up in 1973 and it was sponsored by Eastern Railway. The school building is situated in natural surroundings of Khirkhirya Mountain range and it is on the southern side of the Golf Ground giving a nice view of its physical appearance. The town Jamalpur is adjacent to the city and district – Munger which was known as Anga Pradesh in ancient time of Great King – Karna (Mahabharata Times ). Jamalpur is important in national map for Diesel Engine work shop and Indian Railway institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering i.e. IRIMEE.
2. Important Milestones of Growth:- The Vidyalaya is spreaded in 10.5 acres land and it is structured in c – type building constructed by KVS in 1980. The vidyalaya is having double storied building with 36 classrooms and 10 toilets. There are number of evergreen lawn and children park.
3. Gradual Year wise Expansion in Classes & Sections leading to present status: - One additional section in Class XI Science was started in the year 2008 - 09 & at present there are 03 Sections of science in each Class XI & XII.
4. Detail of Previous and new campus - The Vidyalaya is spreaded in 10.5 acres land and it is structured in c - type building constructed by KVS in 1980.
5. Facilities available including games & sports facilities: - There are two Computer Labs with 54 Computers. Games facilities like Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball & Khokho are available.
